Very few books/ stories wade beyond kiddie-pool depths into the thoughts, feelings, conflicting emotions, insecurities, jealousy, and/ or anger which polyamory and/or hot wife situations can potentially unleash onto couple relationships. That the author devotes much of his stories to exploring those angles is why I'm drawn to reading them. Unfortunately, the plot is encumbered with an overload of cliche' and stereotypical plot devices ("insatiable women who all happen to be gorgeous";, "handsome guys with lots of money and free time to indulge in extended orgy relationships";, and/ or "sex partners who are emotionally invested in each other but who yet never misunderstand, take offence, miscommunicate, feel hurt, feel jealousy, get offended, etc. while navigating multi-partner sexual relationships and marriage where people do feel hurt, slighted, jealous, etc."). At the end, it rang as authentic to me as plastic flowers or a three-dollar-bill.
